Southern Christian Leadership Conference President Joseph E. Lowery is shown at a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nicaragua. Written on verso: After lunch the group returned to the Ministery [sic] of Foreign Affairs where they talked with Victor Triunco [sic - Tinoco] Acting Minister of the office. An ABC news crew tapes part of the meeting. American media persistently followed Lowery and took several opportunities to interview him, but very few of his comments or actions were carried in the United States. From that afternoon meeting Lowery returned to his hotel and awaited the arrival of his wife.

Security Council resolution condemning the invasion, SCLC President Joseph E.
