Abstract |
Abstract
Pauli Murray lectures on Black theology and feminist theology and how each give deeper meaning to the Christian faith. She also critiques both theologies for their narrow focus on the oppressed community represented as the power and premise for judgment. John Cartright in his response to Murray's lecture also critiques both theologies for their focus on the doctrine of God as opposed to the doctrine of creation. Pauli Murray concludes the lecture by proposing the unity of Black theology and feminist theology to confront issues where race, sex and class intersect.
