Vóthún is the name for the clan’s idols or deities. Vóthún is an entity not a process. Colonialism and linguistic slavery had corrupted the concept to Voodoo. Unfortunately, the corrupted concept is recognized by universal lexicon. For instance, Ayrọ is the main Vóthún of the clan of this study. The sacred grove of the Vóthún is Ayrọgọ̀. For the Ogu, Vóthún s are the intermediary between humans and Sẹ́gbó (Creator).
