This video features footage of various scheduled events that are part of the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Civil Rights Heritage Tour held in March 2006. The video opens with tour attendees on the bus sharing a prayer and then Evelyn G. Lowery, George Shinhoster, Viola Liuzzo's children, and others speak to the attendees. Footage then shows the group at Eddie Kendrick Memorial Park, after which, the video switches to a speaking event at the L.R. Hall Auditorium at which Evelyn G. Lowery, Alabama State Representative Mary Moore, and 16th Street Baptist Church bombing survivor Barbara Cross speak about the importance of voting and the civil rights struggle. The video then switches to the tour group reading litanies at the Albert Turner, Sr. and James Orange historical markers as well as The Civil Rights Freedom Wall of Perry County, Alabama monument in Marion, Alabama. The recording concludes with footage of a speaking event at Zion United Methodist Church at which Evelyn G. Lowery and others pay tribute to Coretta Scott King and the reading of the litany at the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. historical monument for Jimmie Lee Jackson.
