This video features footage of various scheduled events that are part of the SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Civil Rights Heritage Tour held on March 6-7, 2004. The video opens with footage on the bus during which Evelyn G. Lowery and John Lewis speak about civil rights activities they were involved in during the 1960s. The recording then shows the tour group at the memorial monument for Viola Liuzzo, at which Lowery, Lewis, and others speak. Footage then shows the bus driving through the streets of Montgomery and the tour group taking photos at the Civil Rights Memorial Center. Footage then shows the tour group in Selma, Alabama outside of Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church where a rally event takes place. Reverend Jesse Jackson speaks briefly and then there is footage of the tour attendees and others marching through the streets of Selma. A dedication to Hosea Williams and unveiling of a monument for John Lewis at the Civil Rights Memorial Park is captured. Speakers at the monument unveiling include Evelyn G. Lowery, U.S. Representative Artur Davis, John Lewis, Rose Sanders (now known as Faya Ora Rose Toure) and Jesse Jackson.
