The images include individual portraits and snapshots of the Lowerys; images of the Lowerys with various relatives, friends, and acquaintances; Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and SCLC/Women's Organizational Movement for Equality Now, Inc. (SCLC/W.O.M.E.N.) activities; other events, people and places; slides; negatives; and photograph albums. This series contains original images, as well as reproductions of photographs including photocopies of prints on paper.

Love to support funding for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference banquet held each year at the annual convention. Harvey, New Orleans SCLC Chapter president, Sidney Barthelemy, New Orleans City Council president and Rev. Albert E. Love, administrative assistant to the national president of SCLC. The money was raised for the SCLC banquet held each year during the Southern Christian Leadership Conference's annual convention. Landrum pastors the Ebenezer Baptist Church in New Orleans and hosted a luncheon and two plenary sessions for the SCLC convention.
