Gaston, wife of a Negro millionaire, tells newsmen in Birmingham yesterday how two fire bombs were thrown at the window of her palatial home before dawn. No one was injured and damage was slight. Lampshade at left was burned, glass was broken from the window and the exterior of the house was blackened.

Caption on photo reads: (BM4) BIRMINGHAM, Ala., April 1 *-- DYNAMITE FOUND AT MAYOR'S HOME -- Two city policemen carry a case containing 50 sticks of dynamite and a timing device from the home of Mayor Albert Boutwell in Birmingham today. The mayor was out of town, but his wife and son slept nearby when the bomb was found and deactivated. A second similar bomb was found at a councilwoman's home and a third exploded in a Negro residential area, injuring one boy and causing extensive damage.
