Speeches of John Lewis and Julian Bond speaking in Virginia in 1972. Bond and Lewis spent three days in Virginia speaking at churches and Prince Edward County High School. They and their team have been traveling throughout the South on a nonpartisan voter registration tour, emphasizing the importance of the vote as a crucial tool for change and urging Black people to register and vote in the upcoming elections to continue the progress made in increasing Black voter registration and representation in the South. 12 pages.
