This letter announces Dr. John Silvanus Wilson, Jr.'s continuation to serve as president of Morehouse College for an additional year. He became president in 2013. Prior to this position, Dr. Wilson was appointed by President Obama to serve as the executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Since becoming president, Dr. Wilson has been a champion for STEM programs at the college, and has helped to develop meaningful relationships with the technology community and influential companies in Silicon Valley.
